My husband and I are becoming regulars at Disneyland and California Adventure thanks to our annual passes.  This week we both had two days free so we did a spur of the moment trip.  We left Phoenix at 11:30pm, got to Anaheim by 5pm, and did Disneyland until 10pm.  The next morning we were at Disneyland by 9am and were back on the road to Phoenix by 2pm.  So yes, a fun whirlwind trip!

We've found our new favorite place to eat at California Adventure.  The fire grilled citrus chicken plate at Cocina Cucamonga goes so good with the margaritas at Ritas which is right next door.  The plate comes with chicken, rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and two steaming hot tortillas.

Dessert at Churn

Going out for dessert and a cup of coffee has always been a favorite little moment of luxury for me!  But several years ago my favorite place for dessert, La Madeleine, closed down. I'm excited though because finally I have found a good replacement at a sweet little place called Churn.  They have ice cream, cookies, and pastries to choose from and a very cool selection of candy.  So far I'm obsessed with the buttery Pecan Bar.  It's the perfect mix of sweet and salty!  Sitting out on their cute little back patio makes for a perfect mid-afternoon dessert date!
